Bundi – Rajasthan
February 2010 – a few phone calls, a few emails, and quite a lot of confusion. Finally, the decision was made to visit this small municipality named Bundi in the state of Rajasthan. The whole program was organized by Prateek of Life Away From Life, and he did a brilliant job. Thanks Prateek! Bundi is a photographer’s delight, whatever your area of interest might be. For me, it was the colors and a type of architecture my eyes weren’t used to. Initially, I was just seeing asymmetry everywhere, but the more I looked, I found a sort of symmetry beautifully hidden deep within. And that’s what I have tried to showcase through some of these photos.

Great pictures Dilip! Simplicity at it’s best …
Can see that your interest in doors and windows has not diminished yet!! The doodh wala pic is great…
And that will never end too, I guess! :)
Good ones, Dilip :-)

Awesome work…
Simple and symmetric. Love the bell in the foreground with the lanterns, the pots pics with the bougainvillea wouldnt be the same without it peeping, anything with a post office box is a hit with me. You have a beautiful eye Dilip.
Good ones Dilip

Thanks Sree! I have quite a few portraits from this trip, which were taken not because I wanted to, but because people asked me to. Doubt they will make it to the site though. Lets see. ;)

( thanks for mentioning my & my co name on ur blog)
You are welcome, Prateek! Will be teaming up with you once am back from my Feb-Mar trip.
Commenting for the first time, Dilip.
No. 5, 13, 14, 15 are the ones for me. I feel #5 and #13 badly needs a tag. I wish especially your “voice” tag would do wonders and bump up the humor. Coz right now I can only imagine the witty crackers that you might have put in there.
BTW 20 and 21 too are unique in composition.
Thanks everyone! And Anish, good to see you here. :)
Hey, nice work there! I like the one with the post box – it’s got a nice range of textures and colours. Most of your pics are water-colour worthy – i’d enjoy converting them into watercolours!
Thanks, glad you liked them. And I will be honored if you convert them to paintings. I can already imagine how they would look! :) Do lemme know the progress.
Awesome as always ! am seeing your intrest in locks, doors and windows and i admire the way you present them !!! Thanks for sharing your work !
