Fort Kochi
My 5 years in Cochin, if there was one place I always loved visiting, that was Fort Kochi. To me, Fort Kochi was never about the Chinese fishing nets or the beach. It was always the houses, the shops, and the dilapidated buildings that used to attract me to this place. The photos here are from my April 2010 trip to Kerala and might be a far cry from what your expectations of Fort Kochi might be all about. Still, I hope you like them.

Great Collection Dilip…..
good stuff…really like the peculiar style of most of ur pics…i’ll prob adopt a little of it :)
Why little? Take it all! :)
I like the Burton boatyard & the hand pulling cart there’s something unique bout that cart. Good Pics thank you for sharing them.
Love them all! My favorite is the one with the Goats, gives a Banksy Art feeling!
Thanks for sharing Poo. My favorites are nos 8 and 20, both appeal to the traveller in me. Your pictures have a very distinct style which I’m now begining to recognise.
Thanks everyone! :)

good use of empty space and colours..u been to pondicherry? u can find similar frames there with all the french streets n houses and colours..keep em coming..cheers!!
Thanks S! It was the Easter weekend. :) Been to Pondicherry ages back with the band, twice to be precise; we played at Jipmer. After that, nopes. Got some travel plans next year, so maybe then.
I really liked what you have written for the intro and the first 3 pictures, then the green house with half open door and the cycle, letter box, then the bike, that cycle rickshaw with tarpaulin, the goats cuddled up in one moola, adipoli. I think this scores more than or as good as the cycle gallery!
they say have a human figure in ur frame …& i am very happy to see some1 breaking the “rule” ;)
these images tell a lot about u too (I think)
nice pics dilip!!!!
I love the rich sparseness of your images. And the textures. Thanks for the visual feast.
Poo, you have captured that timeless essence of Fort Kochi. The cycle at the pier is such an awesome click, want to hear the story on that one. Also loved the teashop. Will look out for it :)
